Legacy Baseball and Softball Club, Inc
LEGACY BASEBALL & Softball COMMITMENT LETTER
Player:
As a player, I accept the offer to play on the Legacy Baseball team and will try my best to:
  1. Always play in practices and games with sportsmanship and respect for all players, coaches, parents, and umpires. I fully understand that all Legacy team players must strive to meet and exceed the established Expectations on the field.
  2. Sign and abide by the Legacy Code of Conduct that all players, parents, and coaches must sign in order for me to play.
  3. Listen to the coaches, who are trying to improve my skills.
  4. Try my hardest in all practices and games. I’ll have patience with myself, keep a sense of humor even when the going gets tough, and realize that baseball is still a game that I can enjoy, even at the travel level.
  5. Attend as many practices and games as I can possibly make, especially since my team will depend on me to be there for them. I understand that attendance will be taken by the coaches. This will include the indoor winter practices, spring, and summer seasons as a whole. If a lengthy illness of any kind is a factor, the Head Coach must be notified.
  6. Understand that the coaches are the ones who make the decisions on the field about line-ups, who plays, and how much playing time is given. Since this is a travel ball team, I also realize that all players won’t play the same amount of innings or games.
  7. Realize that this is a team game, and I will try my best to hustle and do whatever I can to help the team. Any personal goals I have are secondary to team goals.
Parents/Guardians:
As Legacy Team Parents/Guardians, we are granting permission for our son to play on the Legacy Baseball Team. We fully understand the commitment items listed above, have discussed these items with our son/player, and agree to abide by them. In addition, as team Parents/Guardians, we will:
  1. Abide by the Legacy Code of Conduct.
  2. Participate in team functions and follow through with volunteer commitments made to the team.
  3. Meet our financial obligation to support the team. Understand that if my son or I choose to leave the team, or if my son is removed from the team for cause, all collected registration fees are non-refundable and all rights to fund-raising monies are forfeited.
Coach:
As the Manager, I will abide by all of the commitment items listed above, and I will comply with the team Code of Conduct.
